1) What is the difference between your CoverMates™ Elite and your CoverMates™ Classic patio furniture and bbq grill covers? Our CoverMates™ Elite outdoor furniture and grill cover collection is made from polyester, with a special coating applied to the yarn, which helps to repel water. They are a khaki beige color. Polyester is a great fabric for protective outdoor patio, lawn and garden covers and is our most popular because it is lightweight and is used by many people year round to protect their outdoor furniture. Polyester breathes, which is good for your furniture because it allows moisture from rain and snow to escape and the heat from the sun to dissipate. Our customers love the color because it’s neutral and goes with their backyard patio décor. Our Elite collection has built in air vents to provide good airflow. This is important to reduce the chance of mold and mildew. Also, our Elite covers have an elastic bottom with special draw cords that allow you to pull the bottom tight and securely around the furniture you are covering and then lock the draw cords in place with our special locking system. Unlike vinyl, polyester stays soft and rich feeling through all four seasons. Vinyl tends to get hard and brittle during the winter months and sometimes can even crack. All CoverMates™ Elite covers come with a 3 year warranty. Our CoverMates™ Classic collection of patio furniture and barbeque grill covers are made from traditional vinyl material (also known as PVC). They are a hunter green color. The vinyl is a heavy, commercial grade 12-gauge material with a laminated polyester lining. Polyester is better as a lining when compared to fleece. When fleece gets wet, it is very difficult to dry. In addition, rodents like fleece because it’s warm and they even like to eat it. You don’t want these critters creating a home under your patio chair cover! Finally, polyester is preferred over fleece because it does not come apart. Classic covers have built in air vents to provide good air circulation, reducing the risk of mold and mildew. They also have strong elastic bottoms to hug whatever they are covering. All CoverMates™ Classic covers come with a 2 year warranty. 2) What colors of outdoor patio furniture covers are available? At The Cover Store you have three colors to choose from; Our CoverMates™ Elite collection is made of polyester and comes in a khaki (beige) or black color. Our CoverMates™ Classic collection, in traditional vinyl, is available in a hunter green color. 3) How do your outdoor furniture covers differ from others? Let’s start with our CoverMates™ Classic covers. They are made from traditional PVC or vinyl material and are hunter green in color. They are made from commercial grade 12-gauge vinyl with a laminated polyester lining. You can find other 12-gauge vinyl covers in the marketplace, but there are also many 10-gauge and even 8-gauge products, so you need to be careful. Of course, the thicker the vinyl material, the more durable the covers will be. Also, polyester is better as a lining than fleece. When fleece gets wet, it is very difficult to dry. In addition, rodents like fleece because it’s warm in winter and they even like to eat it. Finally, polyester is preferred over fleece because it does not come apart. If the furniture is going to be subjected to harsh winter conditions with a lot of snow (in the north) or rain (northwest), we can recommend either the Classic or Elite collection because they are both highly water-resistant. However, the Classic vinyl material has proven to offer superior protection to water seepage when exposed to standing pools of water. For extremely windy conditions, the Elite line has a better chance of staying securely on the furniture because of our special pull cord and locking mechanism feature. 5) Do patio table and chair covers come with a hole for the umbrella? Our Elite and Classic collections have outdoor table and chair covers that come with our unique Covertible 2-in1 feature. These protective covers have a special circular lid in the center that snaps in place. If you have an umbrella that you want to keep in the table, simply unsnap the lid, tuck it under the cover, unzip the cover and wrap it around the umbrella, then zip the cover back up. If you don’t have an umbrella, or are storing the umbrella in another place, just leave the lid snapped and put the cover over the table and chair set. It’s a 2-in-1 feature only available at The Cover Store! 6) How do I measure for my outdoor patio furniture or grill cover? Finding the proper size cover is very important to the overall protection of your patio furniture and grill. It is always best to select the smallest cover that is slightly larger than the dimensions of the furniture you are trying to cover. Obviously, covers that are too small will not provide adequate protection for your valuable furniture. Additionally, they will be pulled too tightly which will cause harm to the materials. On the other hand, covers that are too large will not allow for a tight secure fit because they will be too loose. This will create pockets for standing water and ballooning problems on windy days. Our CoverMates™ Elite and Classic lines are made from flexible material that will go over and conform to your outdoor furniture and bbq grill. Then the strong elastic bottom and pull cords on the Elite collection or the elastic bottom on the Classic collection pulls in to “grab” the furniture for a more custom fit. 7) Do you make custom patio furniture covers? At the present time, we are not taking orders for custom size outdoor covers. We do, however, have over 60 new items that will be arriving during the next few months. So if you can’t find what you’re looking for, check back with us in a few weeks. 8) If I buy an outdoor patio cover and it doesn’t fit or I don’t like it, can I return it? Absolutely, you can return it. The Cover Store has a 30 Day “No Questions Asked” return policy for this reason. Many times, you are really not going to know how a cover is going to fit or whether you’re going to be satisfied until you try it. If you are not happy for any reason, we will either exchange it or refund your money. We make it simple to return products purchased from The Cover Store. Our Return Policy link provides a step-by-step procedure for what you do and what we do during this process. 10) Do I pay the shipping charges if I decide to return the cover? Yes, you do pay the shipping to get the product back to us, unless the reason for the return is due to our mistake. 11) Do you have “Free Shipping”? No, we do not offer “Free Shipping”. Our commitment is to offer our customers the best possible “factory-direct” pricing on our products, thus saving them money. We don’t play games with shipping. We don’t raise the price of our products to cover shipping costs and then ship them free of charge to our customers! We also don’t set the shipping charge based on the amount of money you spend with us, since that’s not how shipping charges are actually calculated. At The Cover Store, you pay the same shipping cost we pay. Your charges will be based on the weight of your order and where your order is being shipped to. 12) How do you ship your outdoor covers? The Cover Store uses UPS Ground service to deliver the majority of our shipments. If you require another or a faster level of service, we also have UPS Next Day, 2nd Day and 3rd Day Select levels of service, as well as the United States Postal Service. After making your product selection, you can choose your shipping preference using our drop down menu to select the particular service you desire. Unless specified by you, we will determine the most efficient method of shipping your order. For example, light shipments may be sent via USPS instead of UPS. Also, since UPS does not deliver to P.O. Boxes, we will use the Post Office to deliver those orders. 13) Do you ship outside of the continental United States? Presently, we only ship to the 50 US states and territories. 14) When will I receive my order? We ship 1-2 business days from the day we receive your order. Add to this number the amount of days UPS will take to deliver. (See the UPS Ground Shipment Time Chart for normal delivery times to your area.) 15) Is a signature required for UPS deliveries? No, there does not have to be someone present to sign for the delivery. UPS will use common sense when making the delivery and the driver will attempt to put the package in a safe, dry location, usually inside the door or on the porch or patio. 16) I bought a cover from you, but it hasn’t arrived yet. What do I do? When your order leaves our facility you are sent a shipment confirmation notice, including a shipment tracking number. Go to www.ups.com and click on “Tracking”. Enter your tracking number in the box and you will get up to date information regarding your shipment. Can I buy it using my credit card, but have it shipped to another address? Yes, we ship to locations which are different than the “Bill To” address. You will not be charged sales tax if you live in any other state. 23) How do I cancel or change my order? We hope that you will not cancel your order with us. This also applies if you would like to change your order. 24) Do your patio furniture covers come with a warranty? Yes, we have some of the best warranties in the industry!
