Holiday Recipes


Christmas could never pass without this family favorite! There's just something about homemade turtles that's so much better than store bought, and who knew they were so simple!


  • 1 package of caramels (14-16 ounces)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups pecans
  • Chocolate almond bark


1) Unwrap individual caramels and place in microwave safe bowl
2) Add milk and melt in glass bowl in microwave, stirring occasionally until smooth
3) Stir in pecans
4) Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper (I always spray cooking spray onto the wax paper to keep the caramel from sticking)
5) Place in refrigerator and let set for at least 2 - 4 hours; can set overnight if preferred
6) Melt chocolate in microwave safe bowl
7) Dip each caramel into chocolate and place on clean wax paper to dry
