Care Instructions for All CoverMates® Covers


Like most things around your house, your CoverMates cover will inevitably collect dust, dirt and even stains. And just like the item it's protecting underneath, proper maintenance of the cover itself can mean the difference between a long life or an early death.

We've done our research and found the best cleaning method for your outdoor, indoor, vehicle and powersports covers - all quick, simple and at no cost to you!

Outdoor Covers

  • Use a garden hose to hand wash cover
  • For thorough cleaning, use mild soap and warm water with sponge or bristle brush
  • Allow to air dry completely before storing in dry area
  • Do NOT wash in washing machine
  • Do NOT use chemicals such as bleach
  • Do NOT use abrasive cleaning pads
  • Remove the cover periodically to check for moisture build-up
  • Use a towel to dry areas where moisture is present

Indoor Covers

Organix

  • For best results, clean promptly
  • Use damp cloth with mild detergent to spot clean
  • Do NOT submerge in water, machine wash or hand wash to avoid shrinkage

Diamond Covers

  • Use damp cloth with mild detergent to spot clean
  • Use gentle cycle if machine wash
  • Do NOT over-dry
  • Iron on low heat to remove wrinkles

CoverMates and Elite Plus Covers

  • Use damp cloth with mild detergent to spot clean
  • Do NOT use fabric softener
  • Allow to air dry completely before storing in dry area

Vehicle Covers

Machine Wash

  • Only use machines without center agitator
  • Wash on delicate cycle
  • Use ¼ cup laundry detergent
  • Rinse twice to ensure detergent is removed completely
  • Allow to air dry completely before storing in dry area
  • Do NOT use fabric softener
  • Remove the cover periodically to check for moisture build-up
  • Use a towel to dry areas where moisture is present

Hand Wash

  • Leave cover on vehicle
  • Mix 1 once mild dish soap per 1-gallon warm water
  • Spray or sponge soapy water onto cover and clean with sponge or bristle brush
  • Rinse until soap is removed completely
  • Remove the cover periodically to check for moisture build-up
  • Use a towel to dry areas where moisture is present


powersports Covers

  • Use damp cloth with mild detergent to spot clean
  • Do NOT use fabric softener
  • Remove the cover periodically to check for moisture build-up
  • Use a towel to dry areas where moisture is present



NOTE: No cover is 100% waterproof due to various levels of water-resistance while still being breathable.
